Every successful cloud migration starts with a thorough understanding of your current environment. WebNasr engineers conduct a full inventory of your workloads — servers, databases, applications, and dependencies — and map data flows between systems. We use established frameworks such as the AWS Migration Evaluator and Azure Migrate to quantify your total cost of ownership and identify quick wins versus complex migrations.
During this phase we also assess your team's cloud readiness, security posture, and compliance requirements (GDPR, NEN 7510, ISO 27001). The output is a prioritised migration backlog organised around the 6R strategies: rehost, replatform, repurchase, refactor, retire, and retain. This backlog becomes the foundation of your migration roadmap.
WebNasr provisions all cloud resources through Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, never through manual console clicks. Every VPC, subnet, security group, IAM policy, and load balancer lives in version-controlled code. This means your infrastructure is reproducible, auditable, and peer-reviewed exactly like application code. Rollbacks take minutes rather than hours, and you can spin up identical staging environments on demand.
Our Terraform modules follow a layered structure: networking, compute, storage, and application tiers are separated so teams can update application infrastructure without touching the foundational network layer. Remote state is stored in an encrypted S3 bucket or Azure Storage Account with state locking via DynamoDB or Blob leases to prevent concurrent modifications.
Security is not bolted on after migration — it is designed into the architecture from the start. WebNasr implements the principle of least privilege across all IAM roles and service accounts. Network traffic is segmented using private subnets, security groups, and network ACLs. Sensitive data at rest is encrypted using AWS KMS or Azure Key Vault, and all data in transit uses TLS 1.2 or higher.
For regulated industries, we configure AWS Config rules or Azure Policy to continuously audit compliance and alert on drift. We set up CloudTrail or Azure Monitor to capture all API calls and store audit logs in an immutable, long-retention storage tier. These controls satisfy the audit requirements of GDPR Article 32, ISO 27001 Annex A, and SOC 2 Type II.
Cloud costs spiral quickly without governance. WebNasr deploys AWS Cost Explorer tags and Azure Cost Management budgets from day one so you always know what each workload costs. We right-size instances using CloudWatch or Azure Monitor metrics collected over a 30-day baseline period, then convert eligible workloads to Reserved Instances or Savings Plans to cut compute costs by 30–50%.
After migration, WebNasr conducts monthly FinOps reviews to identify underutilised resources, orphaned storage volumes, and idle load balancers. Our clients consistently reduce their cloud bill by 25–40% within six months of migration through these systematic optimisation cycles. We also implement auto-scaling policies so capacity expands during peak demand and contracts during off-hours automatically.
